Dragon Ball Z x One Piece by Banpresto (2008)

This is just a 2-piece set celebrating the 40th Shonen Jump Anniversary using two of his most iconic characters from 90's and 2000s.

Using Google I found that the set has 4 characters. The truth is that I've never seen that Shenron and Chopper before in any auction or sale in Yahoo Japan! or eBay.

And I just have these 2 guys:

Pretty cool, uh?

Son Goku

How would Goku look if he had the straw hat with him?

Luffy

I'm also a One Piece fan. I'll upload my UFO plush collection from OP very soon!

Dragon Ball Z - Collection Set by Banpresto (2008)

A year after the first "Collection Set" from Dragon Ball characters, here comes the second one with DBZ plush incarnations.

And again, there's little or non direct relation between characters and sagas...

Majin Boo

Majin-Boo-dragon-ball-banpresto-anime-plush-
Not the first time for Majin Boo as a plush but this one looks a lot better than the one from 1995.

Kaioh Sama

kaioh-sama-dragon-ball-banpresto-anime-plush-
Not a fan of this one. He looks almost the same as the one from 1993.

Bubbles

I really like ths one! Bubbles' plush debut is pretty fine in this set.

Goten and Trunks

This time, differently from the 1995 set, they are not attached as one same toy, but the truth is that they look better together.

Again, the name of the set is just "Collection Plush"... what about "Super random collection" or something like that?

Website promotions and QR codes to open it from mobiles.

Dragon Ball - Collection Set by Banpresto (2007)

A couple of years after the DX set, Banpresto decided to go back to basics and released a VERY random set with characters that have little in common between them, like that set from 1993.

Let's see:

Now you see? This is not from a specific part of the story at all. I think they just picked some "cute" characters and that was it!

Son Goku (baby version)

Baby-Goku-dragon-ball-banpresto-anime-plush-
Well, we had the kid, adult, super saiyan, SS3 and GT versions so, why not the baby Goku as well?

Son Goku (kid version)

Goku-dragon-ball-banpresto-anime-plush-
For some reason I feel he doesn't look quite the character. Besides of that, those wristbands are too above the wrists.

Karin

Karin-dragon-ball-banpresto-anime-plush-
Second appearance of Karin in UFO plush form. The whiskers and hair are a little weird-looking on him...

Mr. Popo

Mr-Popo-dragon-ball-banpresto-anime-plush-
This one looks pretty good! My question is why Kid Goku has a different body design than Mr. Popo? (the other characters have short arms originally)

Puar

Not much to say on Puar but he looks pretty good

This is the first time that Banpresto advertises websites to see more products or company info, even with the use of the once popular QR code.

Dragon Ball - Come Out Shenron! by Banpresto (2005)

Banpresto started some DX (deluxe) versions of anime plushes, being bigger than standard ones (40 cms vs 20 cms aprox.) and with high quality clothing.

After the Tenkaichi Budokai set, the next one was based on the story right after Goku fight with Piccolo and started training with Kami-sama and Mr. Popo :

Only three characters but it's worth it when looking at Mr. Popo, for example.

Goku

Goku-dragon-ball-banpresto-anime-plush-
The only weird detail is the absence of a black line around mouth (like in the eyes). Aside from that, the hair, clothes, hands and everything is top-quality and very detailed.

Mr. Popo

Mr-Popo-dragon-ball-banpresto-anime-plush-
OK, we know that face doesn't need much detail, but all his clothes are made of high-quality fabric. Even the vest has the right pattern design!

Shenron

This is supposed to be the Shenron figure which Mr Popo can repair in order to revive him. I couldn't sit him right in order to take a frontal picture, sorry!

Here's where you can see the set title "Come Out, Shenron!"

Again there's the warning "Toy can differ from picture. Please understand". Are japanese consumers that picky?

Dragon Ball - Tenkaichi Budokai Opening by Banpresto (2005)

Almost 10 years after their last DB themed set of plushes, Banpresto released a new one based on the first series.  I believe this was due to the DVD release of the series in Japan for the first time.

63-dragon-ball-banpresto-anime-plush-
Nine years were worth waiting for a new DB set. Plushes have more quality in materials and clothes.

Son Goku

Goku-dragon-ball-banpresto-anime-plush-
First mayor change are the sewed eyes instead of those iron-transfer stickers from before. Also, clothes are from different fabric than the rest of the polyester figure.

Krillin
Krillin-dragon-ball-banpresto-anime-plush-
Except for the "Turtle" symbol in clothes, everything else is sewed. Is a major improvement from those firsts plushes

Chaoz

Chaoz-dragon-ball-banpresto-anime-plush-
First time for Chaoz as a plush character. His clothes are made of fabric and he even has a removable hat!

Puar

Puar-dragon-ball-banpresto-anime-plush-
Big changes for Puar in his second plush incarnation. Now he's made of polyester, and thus, more detailed.

Master Roshi

Master-Roshi-dragon-ball-banpresto-anime-plush-
Roshi comes with a good-quality fabric suite and a removable hat. Very impressive I must say.

Tags have been changed also. Now are bigger and non-square as before. Toei Animation sticker is here instead of inside the sewed tags.

Here at the bottom says "There can be some differences between picture and the toys. Please understand" Are japanese that sensible?
